With a stunning cover by legendary fantasy painter Frank Frazetta,
Archie Goodwin and artist Angelo Torres’ six-page comic story “The Swamp God” first appeared in Warren’s Eerie Magazine #5 (June, 1966) and tells of two big hunters who go chasing after a legend and end up getting more than they bargained for.

While considered an Eerie classic, the Frezetta cover is undoubtedly the best thing about the whole project with Goodwin’s story ultimately not amounting to much while Torres is guilty of swiping the works of acclaimed paleoartists Neave Parker and Charles R. Knight to try and make up for his own inability to draw a T. Rex.
